Noun self pronouns are stupid, immature and a sick joke. I will never use noun self pronouns to describe someone. I won’t play along with their sick twisted fantasy. People who use noun self pronouns are mentally ill
The reason I am so edgy and non pc below is because neopronouns or really only noun self pronouns , take crucial attention and energy away from highly more vital issues like transphobic bullying, violence against trans people and suicide
“Being neurodivergent, I tend to perceive how a word makes me feel rather than just seeing the word,” the noun-self user Gum, 13, wrote in a direct message on Twitter. “I chose my bink/bonk pronouns because they remind me of clowns. Clowns and harlequin dolls make me very happy.”
https://archive.ph/nTkfD
Seriously, this is a upsetting situation on all fronts. There’s a very real autism to trans pipeline somewhere, and the MSM outlets are promoting this. This dude/dudette simply has a clown fetish
“But there actually are some limits. Neopronoun users have shut down the notion of using terms related to Black Lives Matter, like “BLM,” as neopronouns, arguing that it is inappropriate for people to use these terms in this way.”
So gender identity is valid, expect when it is blmself? 4chan’s /pol/ is gonna have a field day with this.
This above quote is the quintessential example of why all of this is pronoun, neopronoun, trans stuff is seen as bullocks by right wingers and TERFs. The only trans people ever who I have knowledge of that didn't give off the appearance of being insane are trans people that are very "classic gender norms" in their conception of the two genders
“I chose my bink/bonk pronouns because they remind me of clowns. Clowns and harlequin dolls make me very happy.”
This must be a 4chan clownworld troll or troll without adjectives. There is no damn way this is actually real, though this is a 13 year old kid
bink/bonk
So this NYT neopronoun article means that Gina Carrano was doing it correct when she put “beep/Boop”? in her social media profile?
Bink/bonk is the most hilarious thing I’ve read on this topic
The splendid Chinese Greater Empire is going to be amused at the last days of the west while reading the history textbooks/holograms a century from now
The People's Empire
Born too late to be a part of the October Revolution, born too early to be a part of the greater Chinese empire, born just in the nick of time to observe the collapse of language to appease terminally online narcissists in calling themselves rabbits (silly anarkiddies, trix/trex is for rabbits)
LMAOOOOOO go to horny prison
To elaborate on the "autism-to-trans pipeline
It does appear like autistic/neurodiverse people are more likely than not to identify as "not cis" in one way, or another though I sense that in itself makes sense.
What defines a gender, gender roles etc is for the most part based on social norms, so a person who isnt as intuitively in sync with such norms or has a super hard time comprehending and conforming to them is likely more times than not to reject them.
Now obviously it's not actually helpful (and sort of counter productive in a way) that it's at the point where its encouraged to carve out complete new "identity sub-types", norms and rules around them... and yes, it's especially younger autistic people who appear probably to "fall into that trap".
An autistic person has to be more likely to develop a bit of misunderstanding about gender/gender roles and the way that those norms apply to themselves. Even though most trans people don't actually reject gender roles that much as adopt a different set of them.
So generally most trans people adopt a different set of gender roles.
A autistic person is pretty likely to be very uncomfortable in their body because of sensory dysregulation and being not as accepted by peers as neurotypicals. Learning that this can be due to “having the wrong body” sends a large amount of hope their way.
Mental health providers are now taught that questioning them means you are transphobic (even though mental health providers questioning them is abso, uteky not transphobic in the slightest) , so a few people here and there are starting their transition process (social and/medical) even if it’s not the ideal treatment for them.
Some people with autism are actively not gender non-confirming.
Neopronouns are essentially a doorway at this point
The narcissism of these woke people are growing to new levels we never thought was possible, self centered spooks that have glommed themselves onto left wing ideology without the want for anything beyond platitudes, digital activism (like Twitter), and higher status for themselves.
Though then again what is so narcissistic about calling oneself "Princeself"?
Answer: It totally seems self-centered with a side order of egomaniacal. The reason? They are not only a man, he/him, for instance. They got to be different and special, and to stand out as elevated above the rest. Or maybe I was being sarcastic
There’s 100 percent nothing left wing about these kind of people like the ones mentioned in this NYT article. But I cannot tell that to them. They loathe real leftists. That's something that is the radlib synth left, cringe left, orange lib left and similar ‘leftish’ varieties of Liberalism 2.0 about them
Gigantic Firewall over the planet that dispatches you to Xinjiang, China for being an idpol liberal 2.0er online when
But getting back to the topic at hand, is it really narcissism per se? One of the hugest comorbidities of these conditions are narcissism.
The notion of being allowed to negotiate our own identity is really odd to me (maybe there could be a cultural dimension?) This would seem odd to Canadians for example because Canada still has communal Sectarian identity. Canadians can’t identify as English Speaking Protestants if they are a Francophone Catholic.
A lot of Trans/non binaries see themselves as extraordinarily distinct which is why they use “neopronouns”. It’s a method of saying they are such a unique and special person that people need to address them as “insert wacky b.s here.” Also wielded as a cudgel to get people have to share in their delusions of grandeur by scolding people who fail to address them in the way they deserve.
And that’s why I get the inkling that the Cultural background has to in some way be a factor.
Take this example here:
If a Canadian enters a store in East Montreal, most def in Quebec City, even if they attempt to talk French, the clerk hears their accent and speaks to them in English. The store customer does not negotiate the store customer’s identity, but recognizes/assigns an identity beyond the store customer as an individual. The store customer’s sectarian identity isn’t imposed by them on the clerk , but instead the opposite thing occurs.
Now, if said store customer goes into the same store let’s say possibly looking like a woman, possibly not, possibly dressed like a woman, possibly not - the store customer tells the clerk what that store customer’s identity is (let’s say woman), it’s no longer assigned. They have to recognize the store customer as a woman in a way they would never recognize said store customer as Francophone Quebecois.
So why is being an English Quebecer left up to society, but being a woman is up to the store customer?
It’s a conundrum certainly, but it’s the exact energy as transracialists like Rachel Dolozal being looked at as a negative situation but Caitlin Jenner is some hero. If gender is now fluid why is race set in stone?.
But the current leader of the ‘free’ world Joe Biden believes that race is not set in stone.
I do believe Transracialism something that we will get more of. What is sex except an immutable attribute that we are born with and don’t have control over? Race is the same.
I ponder if we will see a racial identity counterpart to skin color in the same vein that gender is a 'fluid' counterpart to the unchangeable biological sex. Like someone iding themselves as like a pale skin racio-blackman.
Honestly I can definitely see Transracialism becoming more common as the most devout woke try to differentiate themselves from the unwashed white masses and identify as something new. Societal acceptance because enough of society has agreed that it should be up to me
Neo-pronouns are a reflection of an obsession with one's own uniqueness. The entire concept reeks of navel-gazing.
Neo-pronouns also serve the purpose of giving their users something to be victimized over., and thus, carte blanche to be a troll to the 'victimizers'.
The trans ideology hasn’t taken as huge of a foot hold in places compared to the UK or US
It appears that the more a culture is open to individuality the likelier we’ll have neo-pronouns
This neoproun phase is the tumblr generation growing up (or maybe instead, getting older, since they'll never grow up).
I am an against bullying and I have no tolerance for bullying .
BUT, what if I say “the ONLY bullying I can live with or halfway condone is bullying the obsessive neo pronoun users exactly like the ones in this NYT article. Bullying may have helped these neopronoun users mentioned in this article be normal instead of cringe”
Well, what if I counter with “these NYT portrayed neopronoun type of people are a product of senseless and inhumane bullying and retreat to these things instead of some MMORPG
This could bea chicken or egg thing. Bullying causes these type of neopronoun users in this NYT article to be this way or they are like they are because they weren’t bullied
Maybe if we get vg designers to make better MMORPGs this would prevent these type of neopronoun users like in this NYT article be nutty like they are. All I know for certain is that we need something.
We need say, the boy scouts only for both sexes (girl scouts selling cookies doesn't count) and without all of the pedo stuff.
Teach people how to do stuff with their hands, how to camp, how to socially engage with others and how to grow up to take responsibility and to have some amount of hardship.
I always harken back to the kind of "back to nature" movements that sprung forth around Germany in the early 20th century, they seriously sounded really base.
I’m very troubled about the way that many people find it amusing to mock teens like the ones in this NYT article who have obvious mental health issues. Moreover, being so distraught by the very concept of gender often points to the fact that there has been some sort of sexual trauma in their life
You would think the GOP were going to crush midterms this year due to the extreme types of wokeness like exhibited in this NYT article . But fortunately (or if I am fearing daring…unfortunately) it was not going to stop this.
Broke: Normal people who vote based on their material needs and desires
Woke: Normal people who vote based on the heckin enby pieces they read on anti idpol leftist forums and subreddits
Voting patterns often correlate with culture war opinions
Nobody outside of the PMC and the always online give any notice to this neopronoun or even pronoun hoopla one way or another.
And you can find tons of correlations to support idealist thinking - that’s basically the complete point of critiquing idpol from my Marxian/left perspective.
I guarantee most Americans neither know nor care about this neo/pronoun hubbabubba
It is extremely very rare to meet an actual trans person who uses these pronouns. I imagine it's on the order of being as typical as Hispanic people who label themselves "Latinx".
I mean, it's the logical end game to the debate point (a debate point that's so often seen you can even see it advocated in leftist marxist anti idpol spaces) that someone's personal pronoun is the transgender equivalent of their name, and calling them by what pronoun they want to be called as is the same as calling them by what name they want to be called as and merely is a common courtesy.
In everyday life, I maybe agree. If he transforms presto change-o into she, whatever. Neopronouns are ‘whatever’ to the nibes (but counter intuitively better and less woke than pronouns)
If my coworker transitioned from John to Jane, it is easier for some to call him her Jane
If John transitions to Princess Sugarplum, there is no fucking way even people who go along with the pronoun charade like the John Jane one above are calling him that. Though cisgender people can legally change their name to Princess Sugarplum without changing their sex, gender or pronouns and no one including myself has hardships calling them by their new legal name. So there is that angle to this for me
Maybe if I changed my name to "Have you read my email message?" possibly people will freaking do it.
Honestly... why the heck not?
The majority of us are self aware in that we are dealing with emperors who are parading through the roads without any clothes. Their issues are maybe due to pronounced sexual trauma and my possible refusal to “indulge” them is going to be tough for them which I of course take into account. They need tons of competent trauma therapy.
Anyways, I would be in the HR principal office if I was a anti noun rebel .
Coworkers are just responsible for being polite
The important thing is that I know that mtf are hecking valid, okay
In liberal 2.0 college towns, there are hecking validity of all the peoples. My condolences to my sanity
Some Terfs say that Transgenders and enbies are pretty much our generation's version of goths, emos, punks, etc. I never thought of it that way. BRAINFREEZE, now I need a lobotomy to transition back to the mindset I had before I heard that stupid transphobic comparison by said TERFs
Goths, punks, and emos never impose a quasi-religious framework that society was obliged to legitimize under penalty of being shunned .
It is pretty amazing how Trans and enbies have managed to truly leverage some social power. Subcultures that come over teenagers commonly had a bit of predatory capitalist practices behind them, there was a uniforms to purchase, records, cassettes or cds to own, pressure to spend your cash in specific ways, etc. And this does echo that but with the added medical procedures thrown into the mix . Yet beyond that, they have some of the Liberal 2.0 establishment protecting and making believe they promote them as a whole, as opposed to just a couple of record companies for instance.
Modern-era punks also, though. (disclaimer: Not All Punks.)
Punk started as an apolitical movement, scoffing at all mainstream politics. then it moved left during the 1980s. Until now when Antifa really steps out as the apex of modern punk (I don't consider that a good thing AT ALL) CSJ activists do appropriate a punk-influenced persona. the usual neon hair, etc.
Edgy Punk was gone at the turn of the 21st century, and even if there’s still some fine new music coming out of that scene, in 202x, the most punk act you can perform is to act like a responsible parent that abstains from all types of social media, has no tattoos and have a regular hair cut. That’s what counterculture is like when all of the countercultural signifiers of the 1960’s-1990’s are no longer edgy and in some ways normalized within the mainstream.I hate the mainstream (I am anti mainstream)
Gen X were in this type of 2020s ‘be vanilla to be counter cultural’ scenerio in the 1990s when some countercultural signifiers of the 1930s-1960s (like hippies) were in some ways normalized within the mainstream. This is exemplified in the 1990s film Reality Bites
I want to destroy the mainstream and I will do so one. DOWN with the mainstream
Am I saying that punk culture punks impose a quasi-religious framework?
The NYT redeemed themselves for this stupid woke article by avoiding the usage of a gender queer authors genderless pronouns as mentioned here which is the right, non bias and fair thing to do and I applaud them for that .
The NYT’s outlet style guide, encourages NYT writers to “take care to avoid confusion for readers” when using nontraditional pronouns or courtesy titles, like Mx.
“In many cases, pronouns and courtesy titles can be gracefully avoided altogether,” the Times’ style guide reads. “If not, deftly explain the nontraditional usage. Take particular care to avoid confusion if using they for an individual.”
The NYT should not give in to wokeness any more than they do. If anything they need to be less woke
